The Illustrator for preschool books

This weeks assignment was to research either and illustrator/author, animations and merchandise for a presentation on Monday. The group consists of Martin, Prav and Rupa. We have chosen to research illustrators/ autors and how they make the book appealing for preschool children using simplistic colours and eductaional with very little text.  
We have researched two different illusstrators/authors. Lane Smith and Charley Harper. Both have recently had their books published (2008-2012). Whilst researching Charley harper(1922-2007). His books have been published in ABC in 2008, 123 in 2009 and colours in 2011. He uses wildlife and nature with simple drawings, patterns and bold colours. He uses differe thicknesses of material such as board books and paper books.

Charley harper also uses his promtes his illustrations by games for preschool children such as nesting block with ABC and 123 using the illustrations from these books .He also illustrates memory cards and flash card games.
